  • Assistance to write a unique ceremony reflecting your needs and beliefs

  • To provide examples of vows, readings, poems and simple rituals such as unity candle lighting, sand pouring, ring ceremonies – all provided in a Ceremony Preparation booklet
  • A second meeting to finalise your ceremony choices
  • A ceremony rehearsal, preferably on site or at an agreed location
  • A special ceremony solemnizing your marriage
  • A Marriage Certificate and presentation copy of your ceremony
  • Completion and lodgement of your legal documents
  • A high quality P.A. sound system (if required)
  • Only one booking per day.

I also conduct Naming Ceremonies, Relationship Commitments, Reaffirmation of Vows and Funerals.

We also have everything you need to decorate the day. Choose from homemade shabby-chic bunting, LED lit white paper lanterns and a wide selection of vases.

Need a hand with any event organising? With experience in event planning, Turtle & the Pelican can assist with your function arrangements from catering, invitations and RSVP management or we can simply just deliver the items and complete the washing up at the end of the festivities.

The celebrant industry has gone through a lot of changes in recent years and there are some very romantic and meaningful ways of creating an individual ceremony for couples.

Why choose a ‘menu style’ ceremony, when I will individually compose your own love story into your wedding ceremony – including the legal obligations to create a totally individual ceremony – unique just to you.

I offer…

  • Original ceremonies – I do not just take passages from books and put it together – after the initial interview, I compose a personalised and individual ceremony that reflects you both and the love you share – I never use the same ceremony twice.
  • Only one wedding a day - your special day is just as important to me, as it is to you. I therefore only take one booking per day, so that I can give you the personal and professional attention your wedding day deserves.
  • Copy of ceremony - you will receive electronically a presentation copy of your complete ceremony, which you can also forward onto relatives and friends who are unable to attend your special day. It is also yours to pass onto your photographer for inclusion in coffee style wedding books.
  • P.A. system included - I use a quality sound system so every one of your guests will be able enjoy your ceremony as much as you and with my experience as a radio presenter with Curtin FM 100.1 you can be assured that your ceremony will be presented in a professional manner. I also supply the attachments for your ipod to be used for music throughout your ceremony.
  • Romantic rituals and ceremonies - I have many different ideas for making your wedding day a memorable occasion for you and your guests – ring warming ceremonies, sand /wine pouring, Rose/Shell ceremonies… and many more that I can discuss with you at your initial interview, for which there is no charge.
  • Unlimited assistance - I am available any time you wish to discuss or go through any of your arrangements as often as you need to, either by phone or email.
  • Rehearsal if required - either at your home or the wedding venue.

I would love to craft a personalized wedding ceremony exclusively for you and your partner – no two weddings are ever the same – you choose your readings, vows, music (no extra charge), and rituals that you want! I will give you examples to choose from and help you to make your wedding as unique as you and your partner.

We have been happily married for 29 years and my husband, Keith, is not only my best friend, but also my “Roadie” – he is the one that I rely on and trust completely to make sure our voices and your chosen music can be heard by not only you and your partner, but also all of the guests that attend your ceremony. We use a professional Mipro sound system and we are happy to download your choice of music and Keith will play it through our system- this is another thing we take care of for you so you can enjoy your special day without worrying about who is going to put the correct song on at the correct time.

I will make sure that all your paperwork is legal, completed correctly and lodged straight away.

We are happy to travel and weddings can be as formal and large or as small and intimate as you want. For small intimate weddings we can even provide the venue for the ceremony at a reasonable cost – please have a look at our website gallery.

I always provide a rehearsal 48hrs before the wedding so everyone in the bridal party knows where to go and what to do so there are no surprises on the day.

Every couple will be given a personalized copy of the wedding ceremony to keep as a memento of their special day and a complimentary bottle of your choice of champagne, white wine or red wine with your names and date of your special day on the label.
